The 20 CHL Fan Challenge categories are detailed below. In addition, you’ll also find information about the scoring, deadlines and evaluation of individual categories.
In the prediction game, fans need to predict who will win each game on every Game Day. In the Playoffs fans can also predict a tie.
Playoffs: In the first leg, there is no overtime or penalty shootout – a game can also end in a
tie. The game will therefore always be assessed on the result after 60 minutes. In the return
leg, the game could go to overtime or to a penalty shootout after regulation, if the score over
the course of the two games is equal (the away goal rule as in football does not apply). The
game will be assessed after the game’s end, so including overtime or the penalty shootout.
Points: 100 points for every correct prediction in the Group Stage and 500 points for every
correct prediction in the Playoffs
Predictions can be made up until 14:00 CET on Game Day
Each week the CHL Fan Challenge Platform will have four new quiz questions uploaded. For each question there will be four possible answers, but only one is correct.
Points: 4 questions a week, 100 points per correct answer in the Group Stage and 100 points
per correct answer in the Playoffs
Deadline per Quiz: each Sunday at 23:59 CET
Quiz results: every Monday of the following week
Before each Game Day fans can set their line-up which is then fixed for that Game Day. In
this game, fans pick six players (1 goalie, 2 defensemen and 3 forwards) for their ‘line-up’,
and the results will be posted the following day. Scoring will use CHL player stats as follows:
Defensemen and Forwards:
Every on-ice point = 50 points for every point scored
Goalie:
Win: 25 points in the Group Stage and 25 in the Playoffs
Shutout: 200 points in the Group Stage and 200 in the Playoffs
Deadline for Game Day: 14:00 CET on the Game Day.
In the Hockey Passer game fans showcase their skill and ability. There are 12 players on the ice during the game (1 goalie and 5 players on your team and 1 goalie and 5 players on your opponent’s team). The goal of the game is to score as many goals as possible and beat your previous Highscore. Every week you earn 5 lives. For each bad pass you lose a life.
For each goal you score you receive 10 points (your weekly Highscore counts overall)
Please note that once you have started to play the game you need to use all five of your lives. You cannot return to the game later in the same week to use the remaining lives.
Infinity Player places fans into a player’s perspective. The point of the game is to avoid
objects, whilst collecting as many CHL trophies and pucks possible. When you collect three
trophies you become undefeatable for a short period of time and can now also collect points
by hitting objects you would normally have to avoid. Every week you earn 5 lives. Each time
you hit an object you lose one of your lives.
For each object you collect in undefeatable mode and for each puck you earn: 1 point (your
weekly Highscore counts overall)
Please note that once you have started to play the game you need to use all of your 5 lives.
You cannot return to the game later on in the same week to use the remaining lives.
The CHL Air Hockey game is based on the legendary game of Air Hockey. Fans play against
an AI opponent and try to score as many goals as possible. As soon as the AI opponent
scores 5 goals the game ends and the score counts as a Highscore. You can play the CHL Air
Hockey game a maximum of 5 times per week.
Each goal is worth: 5 points (your weekly Highscore counts overall)
Please note that once you have started to play the game, you cannot return later in the same
week to continue playing. You must use all five lives in one go.
In the Pile of Pucks game fans try to stack as many pucks on top of each other as possible.
The higher the tower of pucks, the higher the number of points earned. As soon as the stack
of pucks fall, the game ends. You have 5 lives per week.
For each stacked puck you earn: 1 or 2 points, depending on accuracy (your weekly Highscore counts overall)
The blue line requires some proper shooting ability! In the Blueliner game fans try to get
through the defending team and score goals from the blue line. The objective of the game is
to score as many goals as possible. You have 5 lives per week.
For each goal you score you earn: 5 points (your weekly Highscore counts overall)
Puckman is just like playing the classic ‘Pac-Man’ game! The goal is to ‘eat’ as many pucks
as possible, while avoiding the obstacles. As soon as you run into an obstacle, the game is
over. Each week, a player has five lives.
Each puck collected/eaten: 2 Points (your weekly Highscore counts overall)
The Hand Eye game requires quick fingers. The aim is to catch as many pucks as possible –
but when one is missed, the game is over. Each player has five lives per week.
For every puck caught: 2 Points
The objective is to break as many ice blocks as possible and therefore to collect as many
Champions Hockey League logos as possible. Move the player to the left and right to avoid
the puck from hitting the ground. Each week, a player has five lives.
For each collected CHL logo: 2 points (your weekly Highscore counts overall)
